General feedback

"Thanks to the Centre for Life for being very child-friendly."
David Miliband, MP for South Shields

"Excellent, revamped upstairs for 7 years, shows, Wallace and Gromit, hands-on science for older – easily the most fun and accessible museum experience for kids I’ve been to. Superb balance, free play and learning."
Ant Pye, Brighton

Skating@Life

"I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Scott and also Ty for the help they gave me (a 73yr old lady) skating last night. They gave me such confidence I'm sure I will be joining you again soon. Thanks once again."
Chris Adams

"Neither of my children had been ice skating before. My little girl was terrified and there was one female steward who talked to her and walked around the ice with her, holding her hand all the way."
Amanda Leadbitter

"Customer service was brilliant from the first phone call.”
Ayesha Banks

“As usual, excellent service. Good staff. A great experience for our young people.”
Jim Storey

"We were very impressed with the safety marshals that were on the ice at all times with our young people. We found them to be very considerate when helping and guiding them on the ice, this made them more confident and safe during their session. We will be recommending your service to other groups and will be returning next year."

“Just a quick note to thank all your staff for a fabulous party on Saturday night! It was a lovely party atmosphere, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Most probably see us again next year.”
Deb Weedy, Royal Victoria Infirmary

“I would like to pass on the thanks of our staff for a great time on Saturday evening. Please pass our thanks on to all the staff involved for a good meal and entertainment.”

Lectures and workshops

“Just a quick email to say thanks for arranging the Mini Medical School series, I've found it useful in helping me make a decision about my future career. I feel the practical session was excellent, and probably the best opportunity for me so far to see whether I have the skills to go into medicine and an opportunity undoubtedly that not many will have.”
Liam Clark

Girl Guide and Scout event feedback

"A BIG thank you to everyone who helped make 2nd Alnwick Brownies & Guides separate visits to skate and spend time exploring the exhibits. Our visits are now becoming part of our annual programme of activities."
Madeline Russell – 2nd Alnwick Brownies & Guides

"My Brownies had a wonderful day out – they enjoyed visiting the lab, the staff, the experiments, the packed lunch area, the exhibitions, in fact the whole experience."
Julie Stephenson – Brownie Guider

"The sleepover was absolutely fantastic! All the girls enjoyed it. We were extremely impressed with the organization of the event."
Yvonne Corr – Durham North Guide Association

Young Explorers' Zone

“I liked being able to buy the food in the supermarket and then cook it and then serve it. I loved the underground house. The chef’s costume was my favourite one. While I was there I learned that it’s good to recycle. I’d love to go back again and again and again.”
Katie aged 5

“It’s a unique facility in Newcastle and makes it easy for the kids to learn. “
Katie’s Dad

“It was a lovely place. I thought a lot of attention-to-detail had gone into each play area. The kitchen area and shop were very realistic…not just plastic toys. I’d take William back without a doubt. It’s nice to have a place in the city centre for kids to play. “
Alyson,  mum to William, aged 3
