Life's school programme provides a range of packages to choose from, which are outlined in the options below. To discuss any of these prices, please call the bookings line on (0191) 243 8223. 

Option 1: Science Centre Visit

This option covers exhibitions, Life Theatre, Planetarium and Motion Ride. Due to scheduling we're unable to guarantee any of these individual components specifically. However, we'll do our best to cater for specific requirements.

There are two Science Centre prices for pupils:

• £4 per pupil (outside the big summer exhibition period)
• £6 per pupil (during the summer exhibition period when they'll get access to the big, temporary exhibition plus an extra related activity, presented by a science explainer)

There may be restrictions on junior labs from Monday 4 to Friday 22 July 2011. Senior labs are available throughout.

Teacher prices are the same throughout the year.

• £6.25 per teacher
• 1 teacher for every 5 pupils goes free

Option 2: Workshops/Labs

Labs can be booked inconjunction with a Science Centre visit, or as an individual activity on its own.

• All labs are £2.50 per pupil (which includes the presenter led education Planetarium show)
• DNA labs are charged at £140 with half groups being booked at £70 on the understanding that you might have to share with another half group

Option 3: Ice Skating package from Monday 15 November 2010 to Friday 18 February 2011

This provides a skate and Science Centre visit, which includes an ice related demo from a science explainer and the Power of Ice Life Theatre show. Plus the Planetarium or Motion Ride. Due to scheduling we are unable to guarantee any of these individual components specifically. However, we'll do our best to cater for specific requirements.

From Monday 29 November and throughout the Christmas holidays it's only possible to do either the Ice Skating package, or a junior lab, not both.   

Senior labs can be booked throughout the entire period with the option of an Ice Skating package too.

Please note: A 'skate only' option is not available for school groups.

• £6.00 per pupil for Ice Skating package
• Labs as usual

Option 4: Mathstastic

• £4 per pupil
• £10 (Mathstastic workshop combined with the Ice Skating package)
