Students create DNA fingerprints using gel electrophoresis of pre-digested samples of DNA to solve a vicious crime. The importance of having reference material from suspects is underlined and the significance of finding DNA at a crime scene is discussed. This workshop uses the same techniques as 'DNA & Species' but in a forensics context. Also suitable for able KS3.
