How does the Greenhouse Effect work and what will it do to our planet? Use sensors and sun lamps to investigate which is the worst Greenhouse Gas. The workshop includes a final plenary session where students identify the best ideas for experimental design. After an introductory discussion about the causes and effects of the Greenhouse Effect, students use sensors and sun lamps to investigate which is the worst Greenhouse Gas. The investigation offers opportunities to design experiments ranging from crude and simple measurements which offer broad approximations to more subtle designs which give more precise answers. The workshop includes a final plenary session where students identify the best ideas for experimental design.
Designed for KS4 and above but also suitable for able year 9.
