Students will consider methods of visualising chromosomes, major chromosomal anomalies and types of chromosomal mutation. This workshop gives students the chance to create karyotypes using our giant foam chromosomes and the opportunity to use computer karyotyping software to see how chromosomes are analysed by the NHS. The workshop also includes a structured discussion about the ethics involved in screening for chromosomal anomalies.
