Children investigate why the shape of rainforest leaves enables them to shed water. They look at insectivorous plants, cacti and bonsai to see how, despite their differences, they share common parts. They then take part in a light-hearted quiz which explores the importance of flowers in our cultural heritage, and make their very own cress baby to take home. A lively session which shows that botany is brilliant.
