Offering a great day out in Newcastle upon Tyne, the Life Science Centre is a fully accessible venue providing access friendly facilities for all visitors.

• You can also bring your own food into the venue and enjoy it in our packed lunch area.

• Level access, with lifts to all floors.
• On site disabled parking on request.
• Drop-off points for minibuses and coaches (Must be pre-arranged before visit).

• Disabled toilet facilities throughout the venue.

• Free admission for dedicated sighted assistants (sighted assistants are recommended for your visit).
• Guide and assistance dogs are welcome.

First Aid / Lost Children

While visiting the science centre, if you require first aid assistance, or become separated from your child(ren), please contact a member of staff or report to Reception immediately.

Security Lockers

Individual secured lockers are available in the Reception area for storing personal belongings. A £5.00 deposit is required, £4.00 of which is returnable in exchange for the key. Items are stored at the visitor's own risk.

Times Square Café (open 8am - 5pm)

Whether you’re visiting for the day, or just passing through Times Square, pop into our friendly café and enjoy a Starbucks and an indulgent pastry, or perhaps sample one of our generously filled sandwiches - there's plenty on the menu to suit all tastes. Open to non-paying guests.  

Life Café (open during Centre opening hours - weekends and holidays only)

Once inside the Centre, refuel with a delicious hot or cold meal. Our menu changes daily, so you’ll be sure to find a meal that will make your mouth water.

Young children are welcome at all our café facilities, where you can warm bottles and use highchairs. Foods containing nuts and dairy products are labelled. If in doubt, please check with a member of staff. There is always a vegetarian option.
