Duration: 20 minutes

Dates: 03-Jan-2012 - 31-May-2012

Time: 10.00 AM - 5.00 PM

Listen to legends from around the world and find out how different cultures use the shared sky to tell different stories.

This new planetarium show tells of different customs, beliefs and interpretations of the same shared skies made simply by joining up the dots in different ways… Our Orion constellation is interpreted as Homem Velho - the old man - by the Tupi-Guarani people of Brazil… What we call The Milky Way with its millions of stars was a pathway to Xilbalba, the underworld, to the Mayans of South America… In India it was known as a reflection of the Ganges and to the ancient Egyptians a celestial version of the Nile.
