Essential info
Please read!

Life Science Centre will be closed on Friday 27 April as we set up for Maker Faire UK. Times Square Café will be open as usual.

While the Science Centre is home to Maker Faire UK on 28 - 29 April, our usual programme of exhibitions and shows will not be available.

The Young Explorers' Zone will be closed all day on Friday 4 May. Sorry for any disappointment caused.

Please note that some areas may be closed from 16 April - 25 May as we get ready for the next big exhibition, Robots - then and now (opens 26 May).

A couple of our lifts are our of order, we’re working to fix them as soon as possible. Please ask a member of staff if you need assistance.

Event details

Number 2 – the poo show explores the weird and wonderful world of waste, from the cubed droppings from wombats to how astronauts poo in space.

The science behind household sanitation will also be covered, revealing why there’s always some water in the toilet bowl.

The Science Theatre is equipped with an analogue induction loop.

During busy times, we request that you visit the planetarium, Science Theatre and Motion Ride once - this is to allow other visitors to enjoy the experience too. Thanks for your consideration.
