We all love to explore gardens, playgrounds and secret hideaways, but when exploring space is too dark and dangerous for human explorers, we send robots who act as our eyes and ears, sensing around them and sending us messages to tell us about it.
A lot of what we know about our Solar System comes from the space robots that scientists have sent to other planets. Listen in to Mission Control as the messages roll in.
Please note that during term time before 2pm the planetarium can be busy with school visits. To avoid disappointment, please call us on the day of your visit.
The planetarium is equipped with an analogue induction loop and has spaces for wheelchairs.
During busy times, we request that you visit the planetarium, Science Theatre and Motion Ride once - this is to allow other visitors to enjoy the experience too. Thanks for your consideration.
