Calling all climate crusaders
Check out a range of exciting green-themed activities and shows across the science centre and imagine what your future could look like.
- There's no better way to start your climate crusade than with a mission briefing on the Sphere – a stunning 1.5-metre-wide digital globe found in the Space Zone, displaying shows on its spherical surface. Then head inside a replica of part of the International Space Station and discover how going to the loo in space takes recycling to a whole new level!
- In the Making Studios, create a windmill or wind-powered moving toy to take home – harnessing the power of nature!
- Enjoy a live show full of exciting bangs and explosions in Chuffing Contraptions. Take a look at some amazing inventions of the past, followed by a glimpse of what a future world powered by green energy could look like. (Recommended age 5+ years.)
- Have a go at extracting hydrogen gas from water in the Experiment Zone – a green energy source that could soon power our cars and homes. (For safety, you must be 7+ years old to enter the Experiment Zone.)
