Life transforms into a house of horrors for Halloween

Brave visitors to the Halloween Late event for adults at Life Science Centre in Newcastle on the evening of Friday 27 October will experience organ dissection demonstrations, a forensic science investigation and a dinosaur-themed house of horrors.
“We’ve taken the concept of an American-style immersive Halloween experience and added that into our Dino Jaws exhibition”, said Laura Kennedy, event organiser at Life Science Centre. “Visitors can expect an experience in which our normally family-friendly dinos are out of control – and hungry. Featuring severed limbs, shadows, fog machines and creepy sound effects, it’s going to be a night that’s hard to forget!”
Visitors can also head to the Experiment Zone to investigate a murder and carry out forensic science experiments to identify the killer.
For those allured by anatomy, there’ll be live displays of animal organ dissection, with Life’s expert Science Explainers guiding onlookers through the structure of the organs. Visitors will also be able to get hands-on with the body parts and try out some dissection for themselves.
Brave souls who are looking for even more thrills and chills can climb aboard the 4D Motion Ride for the spooktacular Dracula 4D animation.
Fancy dress is strongly encouraged, and a professional special effects make-up artist will be on hand to give demonstrations and add the gory finishing touches to visitors’ costumes.
To satisfy those monster munchies, Halloween Late visitors can devour a selection of delicious food, which is available to pre-order or purchase on the night. Alcoholic and soft drinks will also be available to purchase.
Halloween Late tickets are available to buy now on the Life Science Centre website:
The event will begin at 8.00pm and end at 11.00pm, and is strictly adults-only (18+).
