Life Science Centre is now open on weekends only between 10:00am - 5:00pm. Tickets for timed slots can be purchased online in advance of your visit. Some slots on the afternoon will be kept free for walk-ups - but booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
Our safety measures remain in place. This includes the Life team and visitors being asked to wear a face covering unless exempt.
We have two exciting planetarium shows running at Life.
The sky is full of mysteries. Where does the Sun go at night? Why does the Moon change shape? Where do rainbows come from? Could it be naughty monsters playing tricks in the sky, or can we explain everything that we see with science? Naughty Monsters in the Sky is an exciting planetarium show for young children to explore a sky full of mysteries!
Enter the planetarium to experience time travel! If you squeezed the history of the Universe into a year, what would happen when? Our second show, Tales of a Time Traveller, takes you on a journey through space and time. It is perfect for children aged 7+ and adults.
The planetarium is equipped with an analogue induction loop and has spaces for wheelchairs.
