Team training opportunity

Science centre staff can take a very different view of the science centre to everyday visitors and we want to better understand what a day at the centre is like from your point of view. As part of this we are organising some training for some of our staff where they take part in an exercise joining a visitor group on a visit.

We’re recruiting family groups to visit Life. If selected you will be joined by a member of staff who will join you from the start to the end of the visit (note we will only contact you if you are selected to participate). Staff won’t be there to direct or inform, but join in with your group as you visit the centre.

To cover your expenses and compensate you for your time you will be given £100 at the start of the visit by your staff member. This will be used for your entry tickets and other expenses such as food, anything you don’t use you’re free to keep.

We’re running the training on the following dates:

  • Saturday 22 July
  • Wednesday 26 July
  • Friday 4 August

We’re asking for people to be able to attend one of these days at 11am and you should be able to spend at least 1.5 hours here (although you’ll be welcome to spend longer!). Groups must include at least one adult and one child (under 18) and should not be larger than 6 people in total.

If you’re interested and available for one of the dates above please fill out the following survey by Tuesday 11 July.

We won’t use the information provided for anything other than this training and will delete the information once all visits are booked. We have limited slots per day and will only contact you if you have been selected to take part. We’ll be contacting select groups by the Monday 17  July.
