To celebrate British Science Week, we’ve teamed up with our friends at WWT Washington Wetland Centre to give you the chance to win two fantastic days out—one featuring an extraordinary robotic snail and the other a real-life bug hunt!

The lucky winner will receive:

  • 4 tickets (max. 2 adults) to Life Science Centre to meet Luma, the giant, glowing, robotic snail, on Saturday 15 March.
  • A family day pass (up to 2 adults and 4 children) to WWT Washington Wetland Centre to take part in their Lloyd of the Flies wetland bug hunt, launching on 5 April.

Lloyd of the Flies wetland bug hunt

Dive into the wonderful world of wetland insects with our friends over at WWT Washington Wetland Centre with the Lloyd of the Flies Wetland Bug Hunt, as WWT partners with animation studio Aardman and the Royal Entomological Society.

Lloyd and his new friend Dart the dragonfly will fly in from 5 April and be around through Easter and May half term. They’ll join WWT Washington’s own incredible cast of wetland minibeasts for a vibrant, family-friendly trail and fun, bug-themed activities

Terms and conditions

Prize consists of the following:

  • 4 tickets (max. 2 adults) to Life Science Centre on Saturday 15 March. Excludes special events such as Pre-School Days.
  • A family day pass to WWT Washington Wetland Centre to take part in their Lloyd of the Flies wetland bug hunt, launching on 5 April. Pass valid for one visit for a family of up to 2 adults and 4 children. The day pass has an expiry date of six months and can be used on any day, including bank holidays and school holidays. The day pass cannot be used for any bookable or paid-for activities.

Prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. No cash alternative available. Competition will close at 9:00am on Thursday March. The winner will be selected at random based from those who have answered the question correctly. Prize must be claimed by Thursday 13 March at 5:00pm or another winner will be selected.
