  • 81% of visitors said they’d likely recommend the experience (down 12%) and 75% felt it offered value for money (down 13%).  Comments generally positive. However, people commented that it was expensive, particularly for adult tickets, and were disappointed we offered no carer discount. (Free admission for carers has been confirmed as a change for 2025).
  • 97% of visitors were satisfied with the What Santa Sees planetarium show (up 4%). The vast majority described it as ‘amazing’, ‘fabulous’, ‘fantastic’, complimenting the visuals and storyline.
  • 85% of visitors were satisfied with their experience in Santa’s Grotto (down 13%). Comments on the set and team were generally positive, and it was described as ‘excellent’ ‘hilarious’ ‘engaging’ and ‘entertaining’. 10% criticize Santa’s costume. Three comments also said the layout made it difficult for some children and adults to see if there were older kids in front. Comments about Sparkle were overwhelmingly positive. (Script/demo revisions will be implemented this year along with a review of the seating layout)
  • Favourite part of the experience: Planetarium was overwhelmingly the most popular. Festive experiments, science centre access and meeting Santa were also mentioned.
  • 96% found our team helpful (same as last year). Staff were described as professional, attentive and visitors praised the elves in particular.
  • 91% of visitors were satisfied with the check-in process (down 2%). The majority found it efficient and complimented the friendly, knowledgeable team. The elf was praised for keeping children entertained as they waited. There were six comments around being asked to queue up too early and then having to wait a long time.
  • 43% of visitors went to the gift shop (up 4%). Those who didn’t commented that it was either too busy or that they’d spent enough, and their child already had a gift to take home.
  • 46% of visitors went to the café (up 8%) Those who didn’t commented that they had already had a drink as part of their experience, or that it was too busy.

It was just a very clever and different Christmas activity and meeting of Santa, plus the entry into the Life centre is always a bonus. It is at the top end of people’s budget, but I do think it is worth it as standards were high.

Easily the best Santa experience we’ve had. Entertaining, sensory friendly.

Every member of staff was so friendly. Special shout out to Millie on reception who was just so lovely and a great person to have to greet us.

Every team member if the visitor centre from maintenance to senior colleagues gives a very strong impression, they love being there and could not be happier to help us.

All members of staff were helpful and enthusiastic. Lady who ran the Time Machine show was great; she was very knowledgeable and engaged the children.
