Wellbeing

We believe a healthy team is a happy team and recognise the importance of a positive, healthy and inclusive working environment. We’ve won awards for our approach,  which includes running regular well-being campaigns, offering mental health support and ‘good vibe’ sessions on everything from exercise classes to massage. We also provide free fresh fruit and drinks every day.

Team engagement

With regular social events, team forums, staff newsletters and briefings, we recognise the importance of keeping everyone up to date and providing a safe space for everyone to have a voice. We provide regular team briefings and a digital newsletter, and there are lots of ways to share your thoughts and ideas from forums to anonymous surveys. The online team ‘hub’ provides a wealth of online support.

We want every member of the team to flourish. New starters complete a diverse induction programme which includes Autism Acceptance, Menopause Awareness, LGBTQIA+ training and more. We also deliver check-ins to support training and development opportunities.

Lab Manager (LifeLab)

We are looking for a highly motivated, Lab Manager to join our Schools and Communities team to support curriculum-linked workshops in our labs. The role involves working within a fast-paced, busy environment with hundreds of school students visiting every week to enjoy being scientists and investigating the world around them.
