On 7 August, thousands of people gathered in the west end of the city, where Life is located, to show solidarity against the far right. This moving display of community, support and unity shows that the actions of the toxic minority are not representative of our community.

Since opening nearly 25 years ago, the International Centre for Life has been a place where science lives and grows. Our audiences and the team across the site come from all backgrounds, abilities and circumstances. We are a wonderful ecosystem of race, ethnicity and gender and we celebrate that! This diversity makes Life – and our city – such a special place. Whatever your race, colour, ethnicity, gender – you are welcome here.
