In this optional addition to the heart, lungs and blood dissection workshop, students discover the fascinating anatomy of sheep kidneys.  

Classes are guided by a trained member of staff through the stages of dissecting a sheep’s kidney.

By the end of the workshops students will have discovered:

Experience what the kidneys actually look and feel like

Learn how the kidneys are adapted to their role of filtering the blood and producing urine, through practical demonstrations

Understand the importance of why pathologists analyse urine samples to provide medical guidance.
