The Young Explorers' Zone will be closed all day on Friday 22 and Thursday 28 November, and will close at the earlier time of 5.00pm on Monday 25, Friday 29 and Saturday 30 November. Sorry for any disappointment caused.

Group Visits to Life Science Centre

Life is a great place for groups of all sizes to spend a day and take part in some fun science activities! If you're bringing 15 people or more, it's best to book in advance.

Our group benefits are open to all groups, from after-school clubs, professional associations and university societies to uniform groups like Brownies and Scouts.

Please note: Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult in the Making Studios and Experiment Zone at a ratio of 1 adult for every 4 children.

Awesome experiments and audience participation help to unravel science fact from science fiction in our fun, family-friendly shows. Shows change regularly and cover all sorts of science themes like dinosaurs, the weather, aerodynamics (with fake flying pigs as test pilots), reactions, chain reactions... the list goes on! The Science Theatre is equipped with an analogue induction loop. ​Shows are on at various times throughout the day, daily show times are available on arrival.
