Enjoy spooky science and Halloween-themed activities throughout October 2026.

Throughout October, visitors can enjoy frightfully fun live shows and exciting experiments. Plus, the chance to see our huge collection of moving dinosaurs before they go extinct.

They can also take part in spooky making activities, a special Halloween edition of our 360° fulldome show Bump in the Night and explore interactive exhibits in Lightbox, Space Zone, and Play Zone for under-7s.

Autumn 2026 highlights

  • Catch The Great Dinosaur Escape before the dinos go extinct at the end of the year.
  • We humans may fear skeletons, spiders and things that go bump in the night—but what scared the dinosaurs? Find out in the spooky Fossils Live Science Show.
  • Follow the trail around the science centre, and answer questions to find out what kind of dinosaur you are!
  • Get your glow on, or identify minibeasts with spooky science experiments in the Experiment Zone.
  • Make a dinosaur bone-shaking skeleton puppet to take home in the Making Studios.
  • Snuggle up in the amazing planetarium for a thrilling Halloween edition of the 360° dome show, Bump in the Night.
  • Nurture your young explorers in Play Zone a fascinating world where little ones can build, create, and learn .

Group visits

Life is a great place for groups of all sizes to spend a day and take part in some fun science activities! If you’re bringing 20 people or more, it’s best to book in advance.
