Current opportunities
Weekly Science Club for local primary schools
Sessions: every Tuesday during term time between 3pm – 5pm
You will be helping to deliver science activities in an engaging manner to primary school children. You may need to help escort groups from one location in Life to another. This opportunity is about being able to inspire young people and supporting them to develop confidence in science.
Our science clubs offer repeat engagement with young people to increase their confidence and passion for STEM-related activities. Ideally, you will be available for at least one full school term so you can get experience with the same group throughout. This helps build supportive relationships with the young people.
Please note for this volunteering role you must be over 18.
What can you bring to the role?
- A good communicator.
- Enjoy working creatively.
- A friendly, approachable, and helpful individual.
- Some knowledge of the science would be useful, but full training will be given
