Work Experience Opportunities

Life offers work experience placements for students in year 10 or 12. This year, the placements are offered during the week of 29 June – 3 July. This is a great opportunity to see what happens behind the scenes and get a taste of what it’s like to work at our science centre.

Life’s purpose is to inspire everyone to explore and enjoy science. As part of your placement, you will get a behind-the-scenes look at how we run one of the UK’s most accessible and inclusive science attractions.

You will experience different areas of the business – from marketing, to front of house and facilities – gaining a real insight into how everything comes together. At the end of the week, you will team up with other participants to share what you have learned, and work together on a fun project that brings all your experiences together.

Life recognises there is underrepresentation in our sector, and we are committed to breaking down barriers to entry. One way we are working towards this is through our Work Experience Programme.
