Planning your visit
We will issue an invoice in advance of the visit. Payment is required before the visit takes place.
Yes a risk assessment is available to download before your school trip.
The minimum number of pupils that must be paid for to make a school booking is 12.
During your visit
We offer different packages for schools. Most often, schools will book a workshop and science centre visit. We’d recommend browsing our workshops before making a booking.
You class(es) will visit our exhibitions that are appropriate to their age and a Planetarium show or Live Science Show will also be included (unfortunately we’re unable to guarantee both shows).
We provide you with a bespoke itinerary for your day, if you’re bringing more than one class each class will have their own itinerary.
They are provided on arrival, unfortunately we’re unable to send these out prior to your visit.
Our science centre visits are self-guided, you will be provided with an itinerary to follow, and our members of staff are always happy to help.
Yes, storage crates will be provided for you to put belongings away. The group leader is responsible for the safe keeping of the locker key and this should be returned to reception at the end of the day.
Yes, you’re welcome to bring packed lunches and we’ll provide an area for you, this will either be in our packed lunch area or our café.
A drop off point for coaches is provided at the back of our building, sorry we’re unable to provide any on-site parking.
You can request a visit to the gift shop when making your booking. If you decide last minute that you would like to visit the shop, please let a member of staff know upon arrival to the science centre.
