Pre-school days provide the perfect opportunity for you and your little ones to try new things, make new friends and have lots of hands-on fun. They are ideal for newborns, babies, toddlers and pre-school children.
Enjoy exciting activities that have been developed with children’s physical, cognitive and social skills in mind.
Regular highlights include age-appropriate hands-on play in the Making Studios, a balancing path for adventurous walkers and immersive plus child-friendly shows in the planetarium and on our huge digital globe – the Sphere.
Each session is different, so there’ll be new things to try each time you visit – from storytellers and crafters to artists and musicians.
This month’s theme is ‘Air’, and there’s something a little prehistoric in the air at Life this month, with the arrival of The Great Dinosaur Escape.
As well as the activities below, your little ones have the chance to meet moving dinosaurs – some of these are very big and may be scary to our smallest visitors, but they are all very friendly!
- Make parachutes and hot air balloons in our Making Studios
- Watch ginormous bubbles fly through the air in Times Square (weather dependent)
- Watch different materials shoots and see the different ways they fall
- Use your voice and other instruments with special guests Piccolo in drop in singing sessions!
- Be a part of real-life research with researchers from Durham University in BabyLab
