Nurture your young explorers in our Play Zone, a fascinating world where little ones can take the lead and set their imaginations free.

In this captivating area designed specifically for under 7s, there’s imaginative play, a chance to build creations and some soft areas for play too, so children can play, learn and grow.

Fire up your little ones’ curiosity in our outdoor marketplace, ignite their thirst for discovery with nautical adventures as they explore the coastal mural complete with a boat and a lighthouse, and blast off to a world of imagination with our selection of fancy dress costumes!

Accessibility information

Play Zone takes up half of the upper floor in the science centre. This can be accessed via a ramp near Brain Zone or stairs in Space Zone.

This area can get quite busy and noisy with young children running around. Ear defenders are available from reception for a refundable deposit.
