Let your little ones explore!

In Play Zone, there’s light play, a chance to build creations and soft play of course.

Let your little ones explore a fascinating world designed just for them. Here, they can create make believe meals and entertain in the mini- kitchen and café and learn to recycle everything (it’s never too early to save the planet!) Our dress-up rail is complete with space suits and more, so youngers can imagine what a future career in science could look like.

Accessibility information

Play Zone takes up half of the upper floor in the science centre. This can be accessed via a ramp near Brain Zone or stairs in Space Zone.

This area can get quite busy and noisy with young children running around. Ear defenders are available from reception for a refundable deposit.

‘Both my boys loved the play zone, we spent a long time in there and could have stayed much longer if we had the time. Their imaginations were sparked, and they were totally absorbed.’

Hazel, visitor.

‘We spent a good hour here and all had a blast, the staff were fabulous in playing and instructing on different building methods. The treehouse was lovely and the hidden secrets inside were a delight to discover.’

Louise, visitor.

‘We came along today to visit your under-7s Play Zone, and certainly weren’t disappointed. It’s absolutely fantastic! Such a big space for the little ones to run free and explore different areas, my 2 year old loved it so much!’
