Sorry, this event has now passed!

What does AI think a typical dentist looks like, and what gender is an AI-generated engineer?

From hairstyles to clothing, how we express ourselves is up to us – but does generative AI have biases about what people in different jobs might look like?

Join psychologists from Northumbria University and explore how AI might reflect, and sometime reinforce, traditional stereotypes.

Wired for bias: AI and gender stereotypes

Meet the expert series

At Life, we regularly invite scientists and STEM professionals from universities and other organisations to meet and talk with visitors

It’s a chance for our visitors to ask questions, learn about what different scientists do on a day-to-day basis, how they got into their chosen field, and maybe even help them with their research.

For scientists and STEM professionals, it’s a chance to engage the public with their work, spread knowledge and awareness and perhaps gather some data.

If you’re a scientist or STEM professional, and interested in getting involved, ask a member of the Life team for details when you’re here, or email info@life.org.uk
