Event details

Brick History is a journey into over 50 of the most pivotal moments in world history – recreated in LEGO® bricks.

No one demonstrates the power and versatility of LEGO® better than master modeler Warren Elsmore. Using LEGO® bricks, Warren and his team recreate stunning historic scenes, from the beginning of life in the pre-historic era right through to the inauguration of Barack Obama. Brick History is a celebration of humanity and its achievements, and of moments in time that changed the course of history.

Highlights include:

  • Prehistory and the Birth of Civilization - The Big Bang, the assassination of Julius Caesar, and the Norman conquest of England.
  • Renaissance and the Age of Empire - the invention of the Gutenberg Printing Press, the consecration of the Sistine Chapel and the defeat of the Spanish Armada.
  • 19th Century - the construction of the first cast iron bridge and the onset of the Industrial Revolution and Alexander Graham Bell's invention of the telephone.
  • 20th Century and Beyond - the Wright Brothers' first flight, the sinking of the Titanic, Discovery of DNA, Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech and the birth of the Civil Rights movement, the Apollo 11 Moon landing and President Obama's inauguration.

*Advance booking is available for groups of 10 or more only. Call (0191) 243 8223 for information.
