February Half-Term 2026!

Families can get stuck into hands-on fun activities this February half-term in Newcastle

A man in a visor and a lab coat looks up at a ball of fire he has made in an exxperiment.

Experience big bangs and fireballs in the exciting Rocket Show, with special guests Wonderstruck, try not to get fooled by the fakes in our brilliant live theatre show, and learn how to stargaze as you watch our stunning new planetarium show – The Sky Tonight – Orion.

Plus! Wear a lab coat and look at life through a microscope in our Experiment Zone and make your own cardboard selfie to take home from our Making Studios.

Fantastic February

Half-term highlights

  • In our live science show, Find the Fake, explore how your senses and brain can be fooled, and discover ways to spot fakes in the real world.
  • Visit The Rocket Show and discover the science behind rockets, from black powder to reusable boosters (Saturday 14 – Sunday 22 February only)
  • Take a look at life through a microscope in our Experiment Zone (age 7+). Use slides to investigate materials like paper, wool, and if you like – your own hair!
