Highlights of the year

From a £1.5 million investment programme which includes an exciting new exhibition and planetarium upgrade, to new space workshops for schools and headline grabbing debates for adults, the Life team has achieved so much this year. One of the highlights is the clutch of awards received for our work with underrepresented communities, including the Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award  at the North East Tourism Awards (pictured).

Life is also extremely proud of the amazing things that happen here, thanks to our on-site partners Newcastle University and the NHS. The bringing together of over 500 people from different disciplines on one city centre site was unusual in 2000 and it remains so today.
