Prepare to dive into a kaleidoscope of wonder as we delve into the fascinating world of colour. Scientists from the universities of Newcastle and Northumbria will be on hand to share their knowledge and passion of colour and answer questions.

From exploring our relationship with food and colour to delving into the microscopic wonders of pigmentation with the Cell Detectives, there’s something for everyone to discover. You can even unravel the links between colour, space and emotion, testing how you react to different colour patterns. Pick up your colour passport on arrival to collect stickers as you make your way around the centre.

All included in your science centre ticket. This event will run in addition to the usual exhibits and activities.

To celebrate British Science Week, we’re putting the spotlight on colour.

Meet the expert series

At Life, we regularly invite scientists and STEM professionals from universities and other organisations to meet and talk with visitors

It’s a chance for our visitors to ask questions, learn about what different scientists do on a day-to-day basis, how they got into their chosen field, and maybe even help them with their research.

For scientists and STEM professionals, it’s a chance to engage the public with their work, spread knowledge and awareness and perhaps gather some data.

If you’re a scientist or STEM professional, and interested in getting involved, ask a member of the Life team for details when you’re here, or email info@life.org.uk
