T-Rex and baby dinosaurs will stalk Life Science Centre this October half term in a show that will take families on an exciting journey back to prehistoric times.

Visitors can get up close with a two-metre high animatronic of everyone’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, as well as baby dinosaurs, and have the chance to take pictures with the prehistoric creatures.

The interactive show by guests Teach Rex is part of Life’s October half-term programme which promises thrilling tricks and treats for all the family, including a special late-night opening on Halloween.

There is also a host of thrilling treats on offer throughout the week from making and taking home spooky shadow lanterns and tricking your senses with real minibeast specimens in Experiment Zone (age 7+) to a live theatre show showing how easy it is to be tricked!

Life’s new animated 360° planetarium show, Bump in the Night, follows the story of a young child who with the help of their beloved toy rabbit Rags, and a healthy dose of curiosity, finds the courage to explore spooky shadows and mysterious noises.

On Friday 31 October, visitors can explore the science centre after dark until 7pm and enjoy a fabulous feast of extra fun including slime workshops, a yucky feely wall and the chance to dust down dance moves at the spooky disco! The centre opens at 12 noon that day.

All shows, including the Teach Rex dinosaur shows and the late-night Halloween special, are included in the price of a science centre entry ticket.
