We all have a creative side – you don’t have to be an artist to be creative and imagination has no age limit.

In the Making Studios, a range of interactive exhibits from selfie booths* to poetry robots will help you tap into your inner creativity, while the studio spaces provide an opportunity to try your hand at a variety of hands-on making activities – covering everything from sewing and soldering, to cardboard construction and coding.

Please note: Photographs taken on the Selfie Booth are not stored on the device or by Life Science Centre, and the device is not connected to the internet.

The Making Studios has been supported through the Inspiring Science Fund, a £30 million capital scheme to support science centres across the UK, helping them rethink what they do and what they offer to the public. The scheme is co-funded by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS), UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and Wellcome.

Additional support has been provided by The Garfield Weston Foundation and the Catherine Cookson Charitable Trust.
