This half-term, we’re bringing the Moon to the Toon, checking out some alien life and bringing you a cardboard carnival!

  • Explore the lunar surface on a seven-metre-wide sphere that is suspended in the air with Museum of the Moon.

  • The Moon isn’t the only supersized spectacle this half-term, with stilt walkers entertaining visitors!

  • Sci-fi geekery galore with the Alien Invasion exhibition, which features 39 original and replica props from film and TV shows.

  • In the Making Space, a guest Maker will create a cardboard carnival and visitors can add their own creations to the build or take their crafts home.

  • Our Science Explainers will be going head-to-head as they create a variety of spectacles using fire and ice. Who will be crowned the winner? You decide!

  • In the planetarium, discover secrets about the brightest object in the night sky with the show Moonstruck. You can also find out what you can see in the night sky with presenter-led show Live Skies and, for our younger visitors, find out how robotic explorers are going where no human has gone before in Space Robots.

  • Our latest Science Theatre show Kitchen Science explores the weird and wonderful science experiments that you that you can do at home.

  • Take a journey with the extra-terrestrial robot Rusty on our 4D Motion Ride.* Fly across our planet’s surface and down a ravine, before continuing your adventure in space!
