Working in Space

What does it take to work in space? An epic team effort!

In Space Zone, train like an astronaut then step aboard our module of part of the International Space Station to see what it’s like to work, rest and play in space. You can even see yourself floating in a space suit.

Have a go at these activities at home! You can try out some astronaut training exercises and build a rocket in your living room.

Living and working in space

Right now, astronauts are living in space aboard the International Space Station, a giant orbiting laboratory. The astronauts are all trained scientists who carry out experiments in the unique low gravity conditions.

Getting home from space

Weightlessness takes a heavy toll, weakening muscles and reducing bone density. Astronauts on the International Space Station hit the gym every day – but the work really starts when they come back to Earth.
